Mexican baby wrap
“Mexican baby wrap” usually means a cotton rebozo used as a sling: a woven, fringed shawl tied for a one-shoulder hip carry, or bought longer for a full wrap. It is not stretchy jersey and not a buckle carrier. Use 98 or 118 inches for many hip carries; 196 inches for a full two-shoulder wrap. T.I.C.K.S. applies every time.
The search phrase is English. The garment name is rebozo. It has a life before the carrier aisle: shawl, labor cloth, postpartum wrap. For carrying, choose 100% cotton with a weave you cannot poke a finger through. Learn the hold from a person.

Is every Mexican shawl a baby wrap?
No. Carrying needs named fiber, sound woven cloth, enough length, a hold learned from a person, and T.I.C.K.S. A short souvenir scarf or open acrylic shawl is not a carrier because a listing says “Mexican baby wrap.”
