Babywearing term
T.I.C.K.S.
T.I.C.K.S. is the sling safety rule from the UK Sling Consortium: Tight, In view at all times, Close enough to kiss, Keep chin off the chest, Supported back. It applies to a rebozo the same as to any carrier. Check it every time you tie, before you walk. Slack cloth is the danger, not the word rebozo.
- Tight — the cloth hugs the baby. Slack lets them slump.
- In view at all times — glance down, see the face.
- Close enough to kiss — tip your head; reach the forehead.
- Keep chin off the chest — a finger-width under the chin.
- Supported back — tummy and chest against you.

One question
Does T.I.C.K.S. replace learning a carry?
No. It is the check after you have been shown a hold. Learn the tie from a person. Then run the five letters.
