Doula rebozo
A doula rebozo is the cloth a doula packs — usually a 98-inch 100% cotton pedal-loom rebozo — not a certificate and not a product SKU name. What you do with it on a pregnant belly belongs to Mexican parteras as a class. Buying cotton does not make you one of them.
English birth bags borrowed the rebozo for comfort and positioning in labor and for postpartum wrapping. Two of the working length beat a rainbow of sizes. Acrylic “doula shawls” are a different object. Pack the bag on rebozo for doulas; named motions and limits live on rebozo for labor. Learn from a trained person. Credit parteras.
